Paul has lived within the Peterborough and Stamford area for all of his life and within the village of Glinton for the last 23!.

Paul’s love of metal as a medium has been with him since his early school years when he would play about with different forms and ideas in metalwork class and this interest stayed with him as he came to work as a fabricator by trade, something he has now been involved with for the last few decades.

Paul describes the inspiration and construction of his sculptures in his own words,

"I have loved working with steel ever since i studied metalwork at school and now i am a fabricator by trade working at a local firm.
I have always enjoyed creating pieces in my workshop for family and friends and class myself as a self taught sculptor.

About 3 years ago I started to incorporate old tools and scrap metal into my work, the variety of shapes and colours captured my imagination taking my work from utilitarian to decorative.
I built my first guitar sculpture for my son (who is a keen guitarist) as a present. I enjoyed the process and decided to create a range of guitars each one unique.

I was then lucky enough to do a commission incorporating items personal to the client, i really enjoyed the challenge of creating a totally unique piece that had that personal touch and hopefully get the chance to do so again.
And my most recent piece was a commission to produce something completely different commemorating 150yrs of engineering for a well known local firm, made from items they produce."
